Do I have to book to go on the tour?
We have limited tickets to ensure the best small group experience and, if there are no advance bookings, the guide does not come to the start at all. Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment. Booking in advance enables:
• guarantee of your place on the tour of your choice
• get the best ticket price, only available on our website
You can book here on our website, in Conwy Tourist Information Centre or in person if there is a tour running and space with cash at the start. Any questions telephone 07876 241160 (8am - 8pm UK time)
Where does the tour start?
All tours start outside Conwy Tourist Information Centre/Post Office on Rosehill Street LL32 8DT. What three words summaries.oasis.fire
Can I take photos?
Photography for personal uest is encouraged on all our tours. We know you’ll have a wonderful experience you want to capture. We do have a few guidelines we ask all our visitors to follow for the enjoyment of everyone on our tours. We have a photo policy to set out what we encourage from our visitors, it's really just a reminder to be considerate to other visitors and to your guide.
Are there any storage facilities on site?
There are no storage facilities on site for luggage, prams or any other large items.
Can I take my dog or pet on the tour?
Yes on hiking tours if it is kept under control as this is sheep and pony country. We also allow well behaved dogs on the Family Story Trail but do not allow them on Wall Walk and Town and Castle Tours. Access dogs only are welcome on any of our tours.
Do I have to do a lot of walking on the tour?
Town Tours - the distances are not great but we would recommend you wear sensible shoes because the ground underfoot can be uneven and occasionally steep especially on the walls and access up to the castle - medieval Conwy wasn't built for comfort!
Hiking tours all involve rough ground and slopes several quite steep although the pace is always gentle. The time in hours, distances and ascent are listed on each tour.
Will my tour run in the rain/wind/snow/sleet?
Hail, rain, wind or snow: your guide will always be there, to greet you. Your tour guide is very skilled at finding shelter from the elements, but do dress for the cold (hat/gloves) especially in the evenings and in winter. We reserve the right to cancel for extreme weather and will text or e mail you as soon as we make the decision.
Can my children under 5 come on a walking tour?
For health and safety reasons we are unable to allow children under 5 years of age on any tour except the Family Story Trail.
Are there toilets during your walking tour?
There is a public toilet in the tourist information centre. You will have to pay 30p. There are also toilets in the castle and down on the quayside. On hikes there are no facilities – only bush toilets!
What happens if I am late for the beginning of my tour?
If you are late by a few minutes, you can join the tour. If you are delayed by more than 15 minutes it won't be possible as you will have missed too much of the tour content and may not be able to find us.
Tickets are non-refundable, but where possible we will endeavour to transfer you to an alternative tour, based on availability.
Where does my tour finish?
The end point depends on the tour. Please read the description of each tour. Your guide will always make sure you are happy with how to get back to the start point.
